Professional Coursework
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Course fees are non-refundable and enrolments may not be cancelled or transferred after payment, except where CRIA ABA Foundation agrees otherwise in writing at its discretion or where a refund is required by applicable law.
Learner cancellations and non-attendance
A change of mind, schedule conflict, non-attendance, failure to complete coursework, inability to access the learning platform because of a learner's equipment or internet connection, or failure to meet a separate QABA credential requirement does not ordinarily qualify for a refund, cancellation, transfer, or fee credit.
Discretionary exceptions
CRIA may consider an exception in unusual circumstances at its discretion. Any exception must be confirmed by CRIA in writing. Considering or granting an exception in one case does not create an entitlement or precedent for another case.
If CRIA changes or cancels coursework
CRIA may reasonably reschedule a live session, change an instructor, or adjust delivery arrangements while preserving the overall coursework. If CRIA cancels an entire course before it begins and the learner does not accept a reasonable transfer, replacement intake, or fee credit, CRIA will refund the amount paid directly to CRIA for that cancelled course.
Refund timing
When CRIA approves or is required to provide a refund, CRIA will initiate it within 30 business days after written approval and receipt of any information reasonably needed to process it. A bank or payment provider may require additional processing time after CRIA initiates the refund.
QABA and third-party fees
CRIA coursework fees do not include QABA credential application, examination, renewal, or other third-party fees. Those fees are governed by the policies of QABA or the relevant third party and cannot be refunded by CRIA.
Applicable rights
Nothing in this policy limits a learner's rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
