About the Program

What is the ABAT Certification?

The ABA Technician (ABAT) is the entry-level credential in the QABA credentialing hierarchy, approved by the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA-USA) and the International Behavior Analyst Organization (IBAO).

Equivalent to the internationally recognized RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) designation, the ABAT prepares professionals to implement individualized behavior analytic programs under the supervision of a QASP-S or QBA, the essential first step in a structured ABA career pathway.

CRIA's ABAT program blends rigorous coursework with practical, case-based learning, equipping graduates with the confidence and competence to deliver high-quality ABA services from day one.

The ABAT is the starting point in CRIA's three-level certification pathway: ABAT → QASP-S → QBA. Graduates can progress to higher credentials over time.
