About the Program
What is the ABAT Certification?
The ABA Technician (ABAT) is the entry-level credential in the QABA credentialing hierarchy, approved by the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA-USA) and the International Behavior Analyst Organization (IBAO).
Equivalent to the internationally recognized RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) designation, the ABAT prepares professionals to implement individualized behavior analytic programs under the supervision of a QASP-S or QBA, the essential first step in a structured ABA career pathway.

Eligibility Requirements
The ABAT is designed for individuals beginning their journey in Applied Behavior Analysis. The following criteria must be met to enroll.
Academic Qualification
Minimum 10+2 / 12th Standard completion from a recognized board. A background in education, psychology, or health sciences is advantageous but not mandatory.

Teaching assistants, therapy aides, shadow teachers, recent school leavers, parents of children with autism, and anyone beginning a career in ABA or disability support.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completing the ABAT program, graduates will be equipped to perform the following with competence and professionalism.
Accurately collect behavioral data using a variety of recording procedures
Implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition programs under supervision
Apply principles of reinforcement, extinction, and antecedent modification
Assist in discrete trial training (DTT) and naturalistic teaching procedures
Maintain professional and ethical conduct aligned with the QABA Code of Ethics
Communicate effectively with supervisors, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
Understand functional assessment procedures and behavioral function
Support generalization and maintenance of target behaviors across settings
